Monocryl Plus is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture with triclosan for soft-tissue approximation and/or ligation. It is an excellent monofilament suture choice for high-risk patients or procedures where bacterial presence is a concern. Frequent uses include skin repairs, bowel, peritoneum, uterus, and vaginal stump. Monocryl Plus is essentially absorbed in 90 – 120 days.
