PDS II is a monofilament synthetic absorbable suture that is indicated for use in all types of soft-tissue approximation. Frequent uses include fascial areas that require extended wound support, fascia closure, blood vessel anastomoses, pediatric cardiovascular and opthalmic procedures, patients with compromised wound healing conditions and orthopedic surgery. It is essentially absorbed in 180 – 210 days.
